This is a portrait of the terrific british actress Maggie Smith, here playing the character of Lady Violet in the tv series Downton Abbey. The portrait is made using graphite on paper - original size 27x29.5 cm / 10.6x11.6 in.

I want to remove this from my favourites just so that I can have the priviledge of adding it again! This is truly a beautiful piece of art!
You're so kind, I'm blushing!!!!! Thanks a lot, really!!! Gosh... I've no words, just keep on telling you thanks... THANKS!!!! ^_*
Wow Thank you so much, I'm really honoured!!!! Thanks a lot, really!!!!!
Great detail and shading!
This is absolutely fantastic!! How long did it take you??
Thanks!!!! A little bit, to be honest1 It's not very easy to me to realize actually how long 'cause I've 2 very little kids, so in these days my work goes by fits and starts, intermittently... anyway, I guess more or less some months.. (Sorry If I can't be more specific... the joy of motherhood!!!! ^_^)
Wow this is wonderful! THe details
Stunning. The detail is immense!
omg it's wonderful!
truely awsome. Maggie Smith is one adorable actor and your portait really does her justice! I am especially fascitnated by the way you worked out her eyes, their watery eyeball textures and the focus you put on them! The way they sit in their sockets, wrapped in elderly, paperlike skin is excellently done, too!
Wow.... You left me with no more words to say... but thanks, thanks a lot, your compliments actually give me a boost!!!! Thank you very much!!!!
wow... man, more identical would be impossible.
it's me or she's like michael caine?
Could she be his real unknown mother??? U're right, she is very very much alike him!!!! PS Thanks, anyway!!!
Very nice, clean work. I like the attention to detail.
Thank you!!! By the way, I love details (generally speaking), they say much more than the whole things!!
This. Is. So. Wonderful.
I. really. thank. you. very . very. much!!!! ^_* (I'm joking, but I actually thank you a lot!!!)
